Purpose
To define the University's position on volunteer
and community activities.
Applicability
This policy applies to all employees, regardless of
employment category.
General Provisions
The University encourages faculty and staff to contribute to
the well-being of the community whenever feasible. However, no employee shall engage in,
accept employment or render services, whether paid or unpaid, which are in conflict with
his/her official duties as an employee of the University.
Official Representation
When appropriate, an employee may be appointed to represent
the University. No employee is to act as a representative of the University, unless so
appointed.
