Security & Facility Coordinator/Administrative Specialist I – Temporary Staff

JOB TITLE: Security & Facility Coordinator/Administrative Specialist I

JOB CODE NUMBER:  821433

 

DEPARTMENT:    Campus Executive Administration - Operations

 

ASSIGNMENT:    The successful candidate will provide administrative support for security and facilities coordination.  The candidate will schedule events and meetings for university facilities and ensure that all support services and equipment are in place for activities; will input reservations and prepare activity schedules using the Events Management Software; prepare invoices and maintain bookkeeping records of revenues and expenditures for work unit.  In addition, the successful candidate will serve as dispatcher for the Security Office and will log and screen all calls; relay work assignments and other messages to security staff, record time and attendance for work unit; verify leave time, and will be responsible for submitting and completing the Organizational Time Sheets; foster effective working relationships and communication with customers and service providers to achieve exemplary service levels; and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

& REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience in events planning and scheduling;

  • Experience in office services and record management; highly organized and results oriented;

  • Demonstrated experience in working with community and external stakeholders in a highly professional context;

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to understand and implement University policies and procedures;

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or other word processing software programs as required;

  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends;

  • Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.

 

COMPENSATION:     The salary range for this position is $12.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications and experience.

SHIPPING:               If applicable, one-way economy jet fare to St. Croix for appointee and immediate family and an agreed upon amount for shipping allowance will be paid by the University upon presentation of receipts.
