DEPARTMENT:         Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities

ASSIGNMENT:          Under general supervision, the successful candidate will assist the executive Director in administering VIUCEDD (Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities).  The candidate will coordinate and plan programs; identify needs; coordinate course scheduling; recommend staffing; coordinate and supervise activities of support staff; coordinate special projects; counsel students; record and analyze data and conduct other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related areas and a minimum of four years of University administration experience;

• Excellent oral, written, documentation and organizational skills;

•  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and/or Excel;

• Ability to organize multiple responsibilities, determine priorities and meet established deadlines;

• Ability to exercise discretion, provide excellent service, take initiative and maintain confidentiality;

• Must be highly motivated and able to work in a culturally diverse department.

 COMPENSATION:    The salary range for this position is $30,135 to 52,278 for the administrative year. Benefits include a generous TIAA-CREF or the Virgin Islands Government Retirement Plan, as well as, a comprehensive group medical, dental, and life insurance program.

TRAVEL AND

SHIPPING:                 If applicable, one-way economy jet fare to St. Thomas for appointee and immediate family and an agreed upon amount based on policy for shipping allowance will be paid by the University upon presentation of receipts.
