ASSIGNMENT:       Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform manual service to assist skilled trade workers. The candidate will also perform general maintenance work; drive vehicles; deliver mail; move freight; operate heavy equipment; lead a small crew; load and unload heavy items on trucks; assist in setting up for special assignments and will perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate or GED Certification;

• Must have a minimum of four (4) years experience in building maintenance;

• Be able to follow work schedule and complete simple forms;

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs;

• Must be skilled in the operation of tractor, backhoe, power and hand tools;

• Must have a valid U.S. Virgin Islands driver’s license and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions.

COMPENSATION:  The salary for this position is $8.60 to $10.91 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a retirement plan and a comprehensive group medical, dental, and life insurance program.
