JOB TITLE: Counselor

DEPARTMENT:         Upward Bound

ASSIGNMENT:          The successful candidate will plan and provide group counseling sessions pertinent to self-development, personal growth, and career choices; provide personal, academic and vocational guidance; keep written accounts of each counseling session held; participate and assist in evaluating all aspects of the program; and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

& REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s  degree and experience in Guidance and Counseling;

• Must be a dedicated advisor with the ability to work with students from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds;

• Must have excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer services skills;

• Must commit to being a positive role model and helping students prepare for college.

COMPENSATION:    The salary for this position is $1,800.00 for six weeks.
